Information we use and why
Visiting this website
This is an informational website with a blog. It has no visitor accounts, checkout, contact form, embedded chat widget, advertising pixels or visitor analytics scripts. Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served from the website itself.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Providing and protecting the site involves technical request information, which can include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, timestamps and security signals. Cloudflare also enables network-error reporting: supported browsers can send reports when a request fails. This is used for delivery, reliability and security, not for advertising on this site.
The basis for this technical processing is the legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and network-error reporting explanation for the provider's practices.
Your display preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser stores that choice locally. The site uses it to remember the appearance you requested. It is not a visitor identifier and is not sent to us by the theme feature. See the Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings.
Contacting us and working together
If you email or message us, we receive the information you choose to share. This can include your name, business contact details, profile information, message content and details of your business challenge. For an engagement, relevant correspondence, agreement and invoicing information may also be needed.
We use this information to respond, discuss an assignment, deliver agreed services and manage the business relationship. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract or performing a contract where you are a party, or our legitimate interest in managing business enquiries and relationships where you represent an organisation. Records required by law are processed to meet those legal obligations.
Please keep initial enquiries relevant to your request and avoid sending customer databases or sensitive personal information. Where an assignment requires us to process data on a client's behalf, a separate Data Processing Agreement must describe that processing.
Service providers and external links
- Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery, security and network-error diagnostics.
- Google / Gmail: email correspondence sent to the published Gmail address. Google Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp: messaging if you choose the WhatsApp contact link. The link opens WhatsApp; no WhatsApp widget is embedded here. WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
- LinkedIn: our profile links open LinkedIn. LinkedIn handles your activity on its own service under its Privacy Policy.
These services process information according to their role and applicable terms. Information may also need to be disclosed to a professional adviser or authority where necessary for the engagement, legal obligations or the establishment or defence of legal claims. Personal information is not offered for sale through this website.
Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers require the safeguards applicable under the GDPR; providers' privacy information explains their transfer arrangements. You can contact us for information relevant to your enquiry or engagement.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose and the type of record. Enquiry information is kept for handling the enquiry and any necessary follow-up. Engagement and administrative records may need to remain available for the assignment, legal obligations or legal claims. The criteria are whether the information remains necessary for those purposes and whether a legal retention period applies. Technical records held by providers follow the relevant service's retention arrangements.
The saved theme preference has no automatic expiry. You can remove it through Cookie Settings or your browser's site-data controls.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transfer of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If a particular activity relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send a request to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request concerns you; please do not send an identity document with your initial message. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month. If a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it.
You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local data protection authority.
Automated decisions and security
This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors. Website security includes HTTPS and browser security headers that restrict scripts and embedding. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Policy updates
This page will be updated when the website's features or relevant processing practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
